When H&M announced that online is finally available..I did a heck of a happy dance. Like one of my best happy dances ever. H&M has been one of my favorite stores since I was a freshman in college visiting Chicago for the first time. I spent hours wandering around H&M and even after I dropped wayyy too much money there was so much left that I wanted!! Of course being young and naive I thought I would just check… Read more »

I realize that I’m late, but my weekend was just too much fun and perfection for 3 days…I really needed an extra day to process! My husband Andrew and I spent the entire weekend in Okoboji, IA celebrating the wedding of our best friends. Obviously…I knew beforehand that the weekend was going to be one of absolute bliss…but my expectations were met, obliterated and then continuously exceeded throughout the entire weekend. The bride was gorgeous…I’m talking light up an entire… Read more »

Have I mentioned yet how much I love music? Well, if I haven’t….I really, really love it. Let’s go ahead and put music right after coffee on my priority list! That being said…I spend an abnormal amount of time browsing Spotify and creating, what I believe to be, the best playlists ever. I create a playlist for everything…I mean, everything. I have cleaning playlists, bath playlists, car washing playlists, craft playlists, blog playlists, running playlists, cheer the hell up playlists….I… Read more »

Happy Friday!! Here are my favorite internet finds from the week. 1. Laughing Lottery Winner. I’m pretty sure that this lady is my soul mate, because if I won a million dollars all I would be able to do is laugh and smile. If you haven’t seen this yet…I dare you to watch it without giggling along. Seriously.   2. Favorite eCard of the week. So. Accurate. 😉                     3. Flula. He… Read more »

Our blue door is the highlight of my year….I mean, other than marrying the love of my life, spending two weeks together in Maui and being a newlywed……but next to that, definitely the highlight of my year!! 🙂 We began our blue door adventure at a Benjamin Moore color store; I am aware that going there was not our most cost effective solution, but this was our first real painting project and we were so unclear on the color that… Read more »

Happy Monday!! That was a joke, I think Mondays suck for everyone even those that don’t have to stumble into work. The day just has a bad aura around it. Lucky for me, my weekend was fabulous though it was extremely mild, tame and definitely reflective of increase in age. Andrew was off of work but unfortunately, “on call”….meaning he spent most of the time being called into work or assisting employees on the phone so I kind of did… Read more »

Andrew and I have lived on opposite schedules for the past two years; he worked 2:00pm-10:00pm, and I was home from work by 6:30 and ready for bed by 9:00 (I’m so old). The weekends were much the same as he usually had to work at least one day if not both of the two I was given off for the week. Unfortunately, this schedule significantly restricted our opportunity for household projects. When he was at home we wanted to… Read more »

Wedding planning is ridiculously ridiculous. Andrew and I should have grabbed our parents, siblings and…each other, boarded a plane for Mexico and gotten the whole shindig over in a 15 minute sea-side salty air experience. But, we didn’t do that…instead, we spent the past 18 months focused on and looking forward to one day, and while I don’t encourage anyone to follow that same path (elope ya’ll!) the memories, the lessons and the love we shared has made every tense,… Read more »

The Apple App Store is right up there next to Sephora and Andrew William Grade as a contender for the love of my life 😉 I can’t go a day without stopping by to check for updates or to see what new Apps are being featured for the week. It’s fun, it’s easy and  it truly does feel like shopping….but you can do it from your bed and you’re not likely to spend more than $4.99; Sephora and Andrew cost… Read more »

I had high hopes for this blog…I was certain that it would detail the hilarity, insanity and anxiety involved in putting all of your resources, time and effort into creating the perfect wedding day. And yet, here I am…67 days from the big day and I have only a few sporadic posts to show for our 17 months of engagement. Despite my expectations…life did not come to a halt so that Andrew and I could carefully and patiently detail our… Read more »
