Oh, heyyy Happy Monday!

This week is beginning with a recent transition in my career path which is resulting in me working from home for most of each week. My life has been all about change as of late…lots of personal, physical & spiritual changes being made!

What is it about change (no matter how good it might be) that makes me so uneasy?? This new work environment is unfamiliar, and therefore, I have done an immense amount of research & reading so I can understand how to maintain productivity, acquire inspiration and hopefully find a bunch of success waiting for me at the end of this road.

My first order of business??

Updating my home office.

One of the things I loved about this house was the fact that it had a perfectly quaint office situated on the main floor. Obviously, I was certain I would transform the space into something Emily (Cupcakes and Cashmere) would approve of. Well…3 years later and it’s become more of a storage room with a desk stuffed in there somewhere.

Not exactly a success making sort of space if you know what I mean.

So, I spent the majority of my very lazy Sunday gathering photo inspiration from Pinterest (duh.) and I am looking forward to slowly transforming this office into a place I can’t wait to breeze into every morning!

Here is a look at some of my inspiration!

Office Layout

The Layout:

I don’t want to be facing a wall and I do not want my back to the door, so I’ve been searching for some unique desk placements!

The Details

The Details:

Its all in the details! Especially the little ones! I want little hints of who I am what I love to be scattered throughout the room in a unique way!

The Walls:

Clever & inexpensive prints will be necessary to keep my spirits up and make me smile!

The Color Scheme:

I realize this is a table setting…but the blush, mint and gold stole my heart! This color palette will be my inspiration I paint and pick out pieces for my office.

Enjoy your week!!
